Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. This course is for health professionals in both in-facility and prehospital settings

The BLS course is for any healthcare provider or first-responder who needs to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.


The BLS course teaches:

-How to recognize the signs of someone needing CPR

-How to provide high-quality CPR to adults, children and infants

-The importance of early AED use -Effective ventilation with a mask and bag-valve device

-Both single-rescuer and 2-person CPR

-Techniques for relief of foreign body airway obstruction (choking) in adults, children, and infants.

The course focuses on team-based basic life support skills, and provides prehospital and in-facility tracks. 

BLS is the basic CPR and lifesaving course for:

Paramedics, EMTs, Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, RTs, PTs, and OTs, Interns and Residents, Medical and Nursing Students, Firefighters, Lifeguards, River Guides, Wilderness First Aid Providers, Wilderness First Responders, and Police Officers. 


Classroom time approximately 4 1/2 hours.

Course Price- $85

Upon completion, students receive an American Heart Association BLS Certification e-card valid for 2 years.

Heartsaver® CPR/AED

Prepares students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Heartsaver® CPR/AED is perfect for on-site training of employees who, because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency. This course can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. 

In this course, you will learn:

-How to recognize and respond quickly to a cardiac emergency

-Hands on Adult, Child, and Infant CPR

-Adult CPR and AED use

-Child CPR and AED use

-Infant CPR

-Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

-Adult, child, and infant choking​

This is the ideal course for:

Anyone! Everyone should learn CPR, but especially law enforcement officers, correctional officers, hospitality workers, tour guides, health and fitness coaches, child-care workers, families with children, educators and administrators in schools and colleges. 

Classroom time approximately 3 1/2 hours.

Course Price- $65

Upon completion, students receive an American Heart Association CPR/AED e-card valid for 2 years.
